The Class of 1964 40th Anniversary Campaign Committee held its final meeting on June 9, 2004.  Everyone agreed that our 40th reunion was a great success.  The parade down College Avenue, the luncheon at Brower Commons, the tours of the campus, and our class dinner gave us the opportunity to meet and greet, connect and reconnect with our past.

We are proud to report that we completed our fund-raising efforts on June 30, 2004 with an outstanding total of $562,000.89.  We are grateful to all of you who gave at every level.  Small, medium, or large, each gift increased the total to our successful conclusion.

As you already know, the campaign committee had decided earlier in the year that $25,000 of unrestricted class funds would be used to restore the entrance to the College Avenue Gym.  We are, also, proud to announce that $35,418.33 was raised for the Class of 1964 Honors Scholarship raising the principal to $70,444.13.  These additional monies will allow us to increase the amount awarded to future scholarship recipients.

Many, many thanks to members of the campaign committee, class contributors, reunion attendees and well-wishers for your role in making this a successful and memorable reunion for the Class of 1964.
